Down time for Kharask

Another character post, partly for the players and partly for the D.M. all things mentioned here are subject to change, alteration, or deletion.

Kharask upon his return is going to start his Adventuring Company, the Two Scars. He is going to post that he is currently looking for recruits in case existing members of his troupe are unable or unwilling to join. By start, i mean that Kharask is going to offer the service of the Company to those willing to pay the troupe for some service. He's going to speak with Inn owners as well as shop keepers about his comrades and past exploits, including the slaying of the green dragon which has probably already reached Karank'Has. His troupe will be willing to do explorations as well as raids and escorts for money. Kharask is not greedy, but he needs experience in the field and as a leader, and is forming the company to better himself in those regards, as well as giving some meaning and order to the lives of those willing to join the company. Members will recieve an even cut of all profits obtained through the company. Members will be told that they will be taking place in explorative missions, military missions (if hired by the guards of Karan'Has or other private sources), and excavating missions. Members of the Company will recieve credit for the honor and exploits of the troupe, while those traveling with the company but unwilling to join will receive payment based on the actual findings of the mission, and will be credited as being mercenary help hired by the company during the exploit. Funds and rewards directly related to a mission will only be shared by the members of the company. This company will have several in game purposes, one, it will allow Kharask and the others to obtain a number of viable options for adventuring purposes, so chris our d.m. doesnt feel the campaign is point and click. This will also allow some kind of stability to a very chaotic group, allowing several outcast like characters to find a worthwhile nitch in a very unreliable time. As an honorable person, Kharask will also ally himselves with past employers, using them as contacts and possible contractors for future missions. He plans on using Vadrier as one of his contacts, since its the only trustworthy humans he knows of at this point. Even if Vadrier never needs the Two Scars Company for work, he can tell the troupe where possible work might exist, and also would be a good resource for knowledge outside of what is known by the two mages.

Also, Kharask is going to check up on the boy he and the troupe helped rescue from the imp. He'll do his best to help find his parents, but if the boy is an orphan, he is intending to use the boy as an aid to the troupe, or perhaps give him over to Vadriel to help with his shop.

Kharask is also going to seek out a temple or priest of tovik, and ask that he be forgiven for any insults he made against the fickle god of war. He will offer the temple a longsword (I removed the 15 gold from his total) as a good gesture towards the god. (Equipping warriors with weapons and armor is considered a good deed amongs the worshippers of Tovik.) Kharask also will ask the priest what he might do to better his position with his god. (I took another 15 gold as well, saying that it will go to whatever sacrifice is deemed worthy. Livestock, special inscence, holy oils etc.)

Ok, that should about do it.

I hope that I haven't depicted Tovik as fickle. He is demanding, sure but not fickle. Hmmm, maybe another write up on my gods is in order..

Actually we really did not go over tovik that much in character creation. So i was just using Kords profile until you corrected me. So i was applying some of the chaos of the god. No worries though, I havent really delved heavily in that area of Kharask yet, even in past write ups. But at least now i know about the god a bit better!! =) yay for doing my homework!

so, what Exploit is he taking?

I'm gonna take the one that gives a target within 5 squares a save. Its not great, but level three for warlock pretty much sucks, its another 2 weapon dmg though, and giving saves is a rare thing, so it should work.
