(Another post of Kharask related stuff. - cant wait to friggin game)
Kharask uses a Maul, a typical heavy hammer used by many of his race. Many Dragonborn warlords and fighters use weapons such as Axes, Mauls and Picks. Kharask started out his career being mostly a defensive fighter, utilizing his great strength to hold up heavy armor and a shield while wielding a heavy mace to deal out considerable damage. This approach changed when he was ten years old, and in a sparring match with a fighter he was speared through his left shoulder with a heavy leaf bladed polearm. The weapon nearly took off his arm, and although it was healed by the mystics, his arm never regained all of its mobility. He then decided to give up a shield, since it would only have limited use, and trained himself to use the Heavy maul. His style is partially unique, but he received his training from several seasoned fighters in his tribe. Many warriors who wield the maul use over handed swings and other arm extensions. Kharask's fighting style involves shoulder to shoulder moves, bringing the damaging end of his maul to his opponent utilizing side to side motion, instead of overhanded motions. He also utilizes forward and downward thrusts with the weapon. His unique fighting style allowed him to develope his "Leaf on the Wind" technique, which Kharask accomplishes by using side to side motions, while turning his own body as he brings his opponent around with the force of his swing. On larger opponents, such as when he faced the green dragon, he uses similar side to side motions to get under foot allowing him to move through his opponent, and forcing it to reposition itself, usually behind him, or risk even more serious injury. When using his "Opening Shove" technique, he utilizes forward thrusting motions. This isnt so much of a jab, as it is a calculated push, where as he carefully positions the mauls head and his shoulder towards the midsection or middle part of his opponent. Kharask utilizes downward thrusts and side to side swings when trying to complete a "Wolf pack Tactics" maneuver. He gets in close, and uses powerful thrusts or swings to catch his opponent off guard so allies can move in to his temporary blind spots. Regardless, Kharask's style of fighting shows his resourcefulness in the face of adversity. To honor the creation of his style, he hand picked the young warrior who had speared him years ago to be apart of his battle squandron. Unfortunately, the young dragonborn who's name was Kretas'Varel, died in there last training mission together, giving his life so the two Dragonborn Warlords could escape. Kretas'Varel's younger sister, Kura'Varel has since taken up the mantle of warrior, and Kharask hopes she has survived the dark times since his departure from the tribe.
